Director of Guidance Pre-K-12

Lorrie Director is the District Director of Guidance for Port Washington Schools.  Ms. Director's career in education began in New York City as a School Counselor and College Advisor.  Her first job as a School Counseling Administrator was in Suffolk County prior to coming to Port Washington.  A proud alumna of Port schools, Ms. Director is delighted to serve the students of Port Washington in this role.

 

Ms. Director has presented to counselors and admnistrators at the local, state, and national levels.  She believes that parents should be informed consumers in their students' search for post-secondary opportunities.  Most recently, Ms. Director served as co-chair of the NYSACAC scholarship committee, helping to ensure that underserved populations gain access to college.

 

Outside of the work day, Ms. Director enjoys her time by the beach and with her family.  She is always interested in book recommendations, so please share if you have one!
