Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are writing to provide you with an important update regarding the availability of the Aspen parent portal. After receiving feedback from the community, we recognize the need for continued access to certain academic information during the transition period from Aspen to Synergy.
Therefore, we are pleased to announce that we have reinstated the Aspen parent portal. Starting immediately, you have access to the same expected information: student report cards, Regents scores and NWEA results. For high school students, the class requests listed do not reflect changes after 6/30/23. The 2023-2024 schedule for both the middle school and high school will be posted to Synergy in August.
We understand the importance of having access to this information, especially during critical periods such as the end of the school year. By reinstating the Aspen portal temporarily, we aim to ensure a seamless transition and provide you with the necessary resources to stay informed about your child's academic progress.
However, please note that after August 14, 2023, the Aspen portal will be permanently closed, and all academic information will be accessible exclusively through the new Synergy parent portal. As part of the transition to this new Student Information System, please note that course history, grades, enrollment records, health records and all other critical information will be transferred to Synergy.
To stay updated on the launch of the Synergy parent portal and to receive detailed instructions on how to access it, we encourage you to regularly visit the district website at www.portnet.org. This will serve as your primary source for announcements, updates, and any relevant documentation related to the new system.
Once again, we sincerely thank you for your continued support and look forward to introducing you to the new Synergy parent portal in mid-August.

Queridos padres y guardianes,
Le escribimos para brindarle una actualización importante sobre la disponibilidad del portal para padres de Aspen. Después de recibir comentarios de la comunidad, reconocemos la necesidad de acceso continuo a cierta información académica durante el período de transición de Aspen a Synergy.
Por lo tanto, nos complace anunciar que hemos restablecido el portal para padres de Aspen. Comenzando de inmediato, tiene acceso a la misma información esperada: boletas de calificaciones de los estudiantes, puntajes de Regents y resultados de NWEA. Para los estudiantes de secundaria, las solicitudes de clases enumeradas no reflejan cambios posteriores al 30/6/23. El calendario 2023-2024 tanto para la escuela intermedia como para la secundaria se publicará en Synergy en agosto.
Entendemos la importancia de tener acceso a esta información, especialmente durante períodos críticos como el final del año escolar. Al restablecer temporalmente el portal de Aspen, nuestro objetivo es garantizar una transición sin inconvenientes y brindarle los recursos necesarios para mantenerse informado sobre el progreso académico de su hijo.
Sin embargo, tenga en cuenta que después del 14 de agosto de 2023, el portal de Aspen se cerrará permanentemente y se podrá acceder a toda la información académica exclusivamente a través del nuevo portal para padres de Synergy. Como parte de la transición a este nuevo Sistema de Información Estudiantil, tenga en cuenta que el historial del curso, las calificaciones, los registros de inscripción, los registros de salud y toda otra información crítica se transferirán a Synergy.
