Daly Elementary Hosts Community Read Aloud

Daly Elementary celebrated Literacy Month with a Community Read Aloud Day. Guest readers, including community leaders, administrators, and Board of Education trustees, visited classrooms to share stories and inspire our young learners.

This event underscored the impact of literature and the importance of community engagement in education.

The event was coordinated by Kim Pinto, Daly’s school library media specialist, in collaboration with Rachel Fox, the head of children's services at the Port Washington Public Library.   They love the program because it "provides a valuable opportunity for community members and administrators to engage with students, discuss their professional roles, and exemplify the significance of reading."
