Introducing Chef Duane Ward, our new District Chef for Port Washington Schools. With a background that includes an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and culinary education from The Art Institute of New York City, Chef Duane brings a wealth of experience from positions at Dean & Deluca Commissary Kitchen, Hu Kitchen, and the Ainsworth Prime Restaurant at Madison Square Garden. His culinary expertise extends to collaborations with organizations like the New York Mets, Knicks, Rangers, US Open Tennis Tournament, Price Waterhouse Coopers, LLP, KPMG, Adelphi University, and Londel's Supper Club in Harlem.
Chef Duane is looking forward to sharing his wide range of culinary experiences and love of mentoring with the Port Washington School District. His passion for seasonal ingredients, food history and heirloom cooking techniques will bring a breath of fresh air and direction to our community food experience. With a keen eye for talent and over fifteen years of management experience, he looks forward to elevating the district's food service team as well as the palates of students and staff.
