Port Washington, NY (April 2023) - On Wednesday, the Port Washington girls’ varsity softball team held a Teacher Appreciation game to honor the educators who have made a difference in their lives. Each Varsity Softball player selected a teacher who had a significant impact on them and surprised them with a note and small token of appreciation.
The event was a heartwarming display of gratitude and appreciation for the hard work and dedication of Port's educators. The teachers were moved by the heartfelt gestures from their former students and expressed their appreciation for being recognized in such a meaningful way.
Port Washington Softball Coach, Eric Sutz, said, "We wanted to do something special to show our appreciation for the amazing teachers in our district across all levels who have helped us grow and succeed both on and off the field. This event was a great way to give back and show our gratitude for everything they do."
